What is SpiritLife?
SpiritLife is a two-year spiritual formation process sponsored by Heartland Center for Spirituality in Great Bend, KS. Additional training and formation for the ministry of spiritual direction will also be provided.
Participants may begin in either Year One or Year Two. Registration for 2012-13 now open.
Who may attend?
Our focus is ecumenical, so adults from any Christian denomination who seek to grow more deeply in their spirituality are encouraged to attend.
What kind of credential is offered?
A certificate of attendance with 50 hrs. per year of continuing ed credits that can be applied for certain professional groups.
May one attend for personal enrichment only (no credential)?
Yes, of course. Anyone may attend on any given day or particular class. Fees will be assessed on an hourly basis; meal expenses will also be charged. SpiritLife is also available online for the personal enrichment of those who cannot who cannot attend the live presentations at Heartland Center..
What are the requirements for completion?
We will require on-site attendance of at least 8 of the 10 program days (2014-15), and 3 of the 4 program days (2015-16), with assignments for any days missed. Audios of the presentations will be made available to facilitate make-ups.
Who are the instructors?
The Heartland Center for Spirituality team will either teach or facilitate the classes. Outside speakers will also be used, as needed. All instructors will have at least a Masters level degree in the area they teach.
