Team Members

Louise Hageman, OP, Director of the Center, is a spiritual director, teacher and facilitator in the field of personal and spiritual growth. She has a master's degree in formative spirituality from Duquesne University. Formative Spirituality facilitates transformation and integration and is profoundly practical for it effects change in the inner life of the Christian.

Ms Brenda Black
is the coordinator of hospitality who makes the arrangements and provides hosting services for individuals and groups using the Center for retreats and meetings. She has a background in religious education and an interest in ecumenical groups.

Sr. Jolene Geier, OP is a Great Bend Dominican Sister who coordinates publicty and marketing efforts for the Center. She also works with hospitality, and has ministered for years in various social justice concerns. Sr. Jolene is available for spiritual direction and program presentations.

Philip St. Romain
Philip St. Romain, D. Min. is a layman and the author of 20 books on prayer and spirituality. At the Center, he serves as a resource for spiritual direction, programs, internet ministry, and finances.


Renee Dreiling, OP, a Dominican sister of Great Bend, serves as Program Director of the Center. She has a Master’s of Divinity with an emphasis in Pastoral Counseling. She enjoys companioning others as they seek meaning in their daily experiences and a deeper awareness of the spiritual, and believes that integration of the whole person brings peace. 


Rev. Connie Burkholder is a Church of the Brethren ordained minister, spiritual director, and musician. She recently became a Partner in Mission with the Dominican Sisters of Great Bend. She has pastored congregations in Ohio and Kansas and has been a District Executive with the Church of the Brethren.
