In addition to massage being a practice for health and well-being, it is also considered a spiritual practice. A full body massage is intended to relax your body, improve circulation, and relieve tightness from the overuse and tension of muscles.
Many types of massage tools may be used, not as a replacement for hands on therapy, but to complement your experience.
Hot Stones – Overly tense muscles can hinder the massage procedure. The heat from the stones helps your muscles relax, allowing a more effective manipulation of your deep tissue.
Cupping Therapy – A wonderful ancient Chinese tool has found it’s place as an addition to massage therapy. By creating suction and vacuum pressure, this therapy is used to soften tight muscles, lift connective tissue and bring blood flow to the body.
Mu-Xing – A unique wood based massage utilizing heated rosewood and bamboo tools. The warmth of the tools helps to melt muscular tension and promote a deep sense of relaxation.
This is a Christ-Centered approach to self-care and self-renewal, focusing on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.
