According to scripture, humanity was created in the image and likeness of God. Adam and Eve, seeking understanding through personal effort rather than reliance on God, turned away from divine guidance. This decision led them away from the light, resulting in their minds and understanding being influenced by darkness, which caused them to no longer reflect God’s likeness. Nevertheless, the narrative of scripture describes how God continues to transform individuals into the likeness of Christ. Humanity was intended to bear God’s image and spread His glory throughout creation. The story outlined in scripture illustrates God’s work to restore humanity’s vision and understanding through Jesus Christ. Engaging with these scriptures offers the potential for individuals to be renewed in the likeness of Jesus, fulfilling the purpose for which they were originally created.
Through simple teaching, reflection, and community discussion, we will embark on a two-year journey of spiritual growth. The program includes six retreats: five Saturday workshops each year, featuring morning and afternoon sessions with teaching, reflection, and Q&A. A weekend “come away retreat” will be held every July, inspired by Mark 6:31. The first year focuses on foundational theology from creation to recreation, while the second year introduces practical tools for restoring Christlikeness.
